Description This Consulting Engineering client is firmly established with ICI architects and building owners as a "Go-To" supplier of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering design for building services. It has served local Ontario customers for education, recreation, high-occupancy residential and office building projects as well as nationally with corporate customers in retail and hospitality industries. We're seeking an Electrical Engineer with approximately 6-8 years of experience in building services consulting for the design of the electrical aspects of commercial, institutional & industrial buildings for projects ranging from building renovations to new facilities. Due to considerable growth & expansion, this firm is currently establishing a new office location in Hamilton to more effectively satisfy the needs of their customers & clients in the Burlington, Hamilton, and Niagara areas. This growth sees the firm nearing over-capacity with the number of current and upcoming projects, and so this is an exciting opportunity that promises new challenges and continued, long-term career growth.

Our candidate will have a strong background in Consulting Engineering with professional skills in Electrical Systems design including building power requirements, interior/exterior lighting, building power distribution, security systems, fire alarm systems, computer network systems, emergency life safety systems including generators, and communication & surveillance systems. The incumbent will lead a small team of Designers & Drafters per project and be expected to manage multiple projects concurrently. This is not a customer-facing role, rather maintaining effective Design production and output on various projects. While based in Hamilton, the initial 3-6 months will be spent in the Waterloo office becoming familiarized.
